Litvinovsky grew up in a religious Jewish household and attended a traditional "cheder" during his childhood. At the age of 25, he immigrated to Israel, settled in Jerusalem, and was exposed to many religious figures walking its streets. These two influences led to the frequent appearance of Jewish motifs in many of his paintings.
